Reading a capture

VHT made A-MPDU effectively mandatory: even a single frame is carried as a one-subframe aggregate. The PHY stopped offering a way to send a bare MPDU, which is why every VHT capture shows delimiters.

Subfields

• VHT-SIG-A — Two OFDM symbols of common signalling, sent before the training.
• VHT-STF — Short training for the VHT portion.
• VHT-LTF — Long training symbols, four microseconds each, one per space-time stream across all users.
• VHT-SIG-B — Per-user signalling, sent after the training rather than before it.
• Data field — The VHT data field, carrying the PSDU.
