Two OFDM symbols carrying the parameters needed to decode the rest of the transmission.

Reading a capture

Both facts about this field are true at once and neither implies the other — it occupies two symbols of airtime AND carries 52 bits. That is the node that shaped the schema in PLAN.md §3.2.
