Protocol Type PTYPE

Network 2 octets ARP packet unverified

What kind of protocol address is being resolved.

Reading a capture

The same number space as EtherType one lane up, so 0x0800 here means the same thing it means there. There is no ARP for IPv6 — neighbour discovery replaced it, and it runs over ICMPv6 instead.
